Dzmitry Dzichkouski, Delivery Manager, Exadel US

What motivated you to join the Exadel Code Arena?

My current position is Delivery Manager, but I was a developer in the past. It’s been a while, so I wanted to see if I still have what it takes!

Which programming language did you choose for the competition, and why?

I chose Python because I love its flexible syntax and elegant constructs, which are rare in other languages. It’s one of the languages I’ve used most frequently in my past development work.

It was an amazing experience and huge thanks to the organizers! I appreciated how well-organized and smooth the whole event was. The tasks were clear yet challenging, and the tool provided was convenient and easy to use. Overall, it was a great experience.

What motivated you to join the Exadel Code Arena?

Even though I currently hold the position of manager, programming remains an integral part of my skill and a passion that really inspires me. Joining the Exadel Code Arena gave me the opportunity to return to coding at a more technical level and personally participate in a programming competition. This event allowed me to improve my skills, solve complex problems, and communicate with the developer community – a refreshing turnaround from my usual focus on management.

Which programming language did you choose for the competition, and why?

I chose JavaScript to participate in the competition because I have extensive experience working with this programming language on both front-end and back-end projects. JavaScript’s versatility as an industry standard makes it an ideal tool for developing and maintaining full-fledged applications, which fully corresponds to my skills and knowledge. Thanks to JavaScript’s widespread and flexibility, I can effectively and confidently solve the problems facing my competitors.

What were your overall impressions of the Exadel Code Arena?

Participating in the Exadel Code Arena was an exciting and intense experience. The various tasks allowed me to expand my programming knowledge by testing various aspects of my skills. The competition not only helped me evaluate my technical abilities but also immersed me in the atmosphere of passion for coding.

Even as a manager, I felt the appeal of programming again and strengthened my connection with this art. And the thought of a possible victory and winning the MacBook Pro added a lot of adrenaline to the blood!
