Exadel was one of the co-organizers of the last ConnectBA meetup in Cracow. Take a look at some spotlights from the event, which explored the ethics of AI use and innovation.
ConnectBA Cracow
ConnectBA meetups are organised by the Polish chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). They aim to bring together the professional community and create a space for sharing industry knowledge, insightful discussions, and valuable networking. As a company, we recognize the importance of being an active participant in such communities and encourage our employees to share their expertise.
The last ConnectBa event took place on September 12th in Techies Space in Cracow. The topics revolved around the latest trends in AI and their impacts on business analyst work. One of the experts speaking was Ina Piatrunina, a Senior Business Analyst working at Exadel Poland.
AI in Business Analysis
Ina Piatruna’s talk, titled “Ethical Use of AI in Decision Making” explored the increasing influence of AI systems on various aspects of life, such as hiring, healthcare, and criminal justice. She emphasized the need for AI-driven decisions to align with ethical standards, ensuring fairness, transparency, and public trust in these technologies.
The ethical use of AI in decision-making is critical, as it directly impacts human rights, as outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Complex dilemmas, like the AI version of the trolley problem, make discussions difficult, yet essential, to ensure AI aligns with societal values and protects individual rights.

-The second presentation was given by Tomasz Plebański, AI Product Manager and Head of Product Management and Business Analysis at EPAM in Warsaw.
His presentation offered valuable insights for Business Analysts and Product Owners, focusing on the unique strategies for developing generative AI products. He contrasted traditional software development with generative AI, highlighting key differences and helping attendees navigate the complexities of this emerging field. By emphasizing practical approaches, he provided a clearer understanding of how to manage AI-driven projects effectively.
