Full interview with Tural Rahimli, System Administrator, Exadel Poland
What inspired you to join the Burning Calories stream of the Exadel Olympic Games?
I exercise almost every day and love active sports. Participating in the Exadel Olympic Games gave me additional motivation to push myself forward, show better results, and synchronize with my colleagues’ real results.
Can you give us a glimpse into your typical Olympic Day routine? What was your training schedule?
My day starts with a morning run of 5-10 kilometers. Throughout the day, I take 15-20 minute breaks for stretching. In the evenings, I go for a workout at the gym for approximately 3 hours or run outside for 1 hour, often combining it with street workouts for 40-50 minutes.
💡Exadel Olympic Games
Exadel Olympics aims to bring all employees from all locations together for three weeks of games. This initiative aims to contribute to a healthy lifestyle and well-being and foster a sense of community among our diverse workforce. It is designed not only to promote physical health but also to encourage teamwork and motivation among employees, regardless of their geographical location.
Did you have any specific fitness goals in mind when you started the challenge? How did you stay motivated?
I aim to have a beautiful and healthy body. I don’t aspire to be a champion. I like myself and maintain my health, as it is the most important thing in my life. Being in shape gives me confidence in other aspects of life.
Do you have a background in sports or athletics?
I used to box and participate in amateur sports, but I didn’t aim at a professional level. I really enjoy playing football and taking part in sports challenges. I am just an amateur.
You can earn money, gain fame, buy a house, a car, and many other things—but you cannot buy health. You need to build, maintain, and respect it every day. It is a kind of daily practice and discipline.

-Were there any ups and downs, and how did you manage them?
I kept an eye on my colleagues’ results, which motivated me. But in general, if we talk about the whole year, there are sometimes tough moments—without them, progress is impossible.
For example, when I fly to my home country, Azerbaijan, where I have many meetings with family and friends, there are plenty of delicious national dishes that are hard to resist. We have a tradition where eating together is a must to avoid offending anyone. Because of this, I often have meals 5-6-7 times a day, and most of our food is very high in calories. But I allow myself to enjoy these moments. When I return, I return to my routine and start losing weight again. It’s a bit tough, but nothing comes easy these days.
Did your victory come as a surprise, or were you confident in your abilities from the start?
After the first week, I saw my colleagues’ results and felt a bit discouraged since I had planned to compare myself with the people better than my results. My results didn’t differ much from my colleagues. I also aimed to motivate those whose daily achievements were around 500-600 calories.
Good luck to everyone! Remember – being healthy is the key to getting outstanding achievements in other fields!
